The national health insurance tax is reduced from April.

• Target: Person who is under 65 years old, lost the job because of bankruptcy, firing, etc. after March 31, 2009 and receives the unemployment benefits as qualified specifically for employment insurance benefits or as displaced worker by the specific reason.
• Reduced amount: Calculated amount regarding the salary in the previous year as thirty over one hundred.
• Reduction period: from the next day of separation from the job to the end of the next fiscal year

◇Exemption system of insurance premiums

There is a system that exempts multistage insurance premiums for the persons who find it difficult to pay the national pension insurance premiums because of the low income or other reasons. The period that is applied and accepted is included in the qualification period for receiving the basic old age pension and the amount of the pension in the future becomes a half in the case of total exemption, five over eighth for three-quarters exemption, three-quarters for a half exemption and seven over eighth for a quarter exemption.

◇Grace system for youth

When the persons in their twenties or more (except students) have the income (including that of the spouse) under the certain amount, the payment of the monthly insurance premiums is allowed respite. It isn't included in the calculation of the future pension amount.

◇Payment exception system for students

Students in the age of 20 or more (including those of graduate school, part-time and correspondence course), and whose income is under the certain amount, can use the system. The period that is applied and accepted isn't included in the calculation of the future pension amount.

Participants of the national health insurance and newly joined health insurance at the work place have to go through the procedure to withdraw from the national health insurance. If you don't do it, you are going to pay both the premiums of the work place and the national health insurance tax.

The national health insurance tax is collected to that of March, the previous month, when you join the health insurance of your work place in April.

A lump-sum funeral allowance is provided to the person who carried out the funeral by application.
