◇Report of residential land
As for the land used as a housing site, the special case reducing fixed property tax is recognized. The owner of the land which comes under any of the followings is wished to report of residential / nonresidential land.

○The owner of the land where a house has been newly built or extended (except the land where a house will be newly built from now on)

○The owner of the land where a house has been pulled down and the use has been changed into something except a housing site such as a vacant land or a parking lot.

○Person who changed the use of the building, for example, from a house to an office or a store, or from an office to a house.

◇Report of depreciable property
　 As of Jan. 1st, the person who owns a factory, store, office, etc. and does business or who rents a parking lot, apartment, etc. and whose total sum of the property used for the business (buildings, machines, furniture, etc.) is 1,500,000 yen and over is wished to report depreciable property.

◇Please inform the change of the building.

○The case in which as for a building non-registered, there has been a change of ownership by trade, inheritance, etc.

○The case in which a building has been pulled down but the registration of extinguishment to the Regional Legal Affairs Bureau has not been accomplished by Dec.31st, 2009.

◇Person who has duty to pay fixed property tax
It is the person who is registered as the owner of fixed property(land, residential buildings and depreciable property) as of Jan. 1st. As for the person who is registered as the owner on the registration book as of Jan.1st, 2010, fixed property tax in fiscal 2010 would be imposed on the full amount, even if he or she sold the land of building halfway of the year.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries carries out "2010 World Agriculture and Forestry Census" on Feb. 1st (Mon.) all together in the whole country.
The investigator will visit people concerning agriculture and forestry and ask the management situation of agriculture and forestry from the end of January, so please cooperate with it.

The registration of the dog living more than 90 days (1 time in the life) is obligatory by the law. If the registration has not been finished, please follow the procedure at the animal hospital in the city.

Commission to issue the Basic Resident Register Card will not be needed only for the first time.
However when you add the electric certificate to do the electric application of national tax report and so on, 500 yen of commission is needed.

• Type: with portrait/ without portrait (Basic Resident Register Card with portrait can be used as the identification card issued by the public organization.

• Things to need for application
  ・signet
  ・1 portrait photo for identification 45mm in length and 35mm in width that was taken within 6 month before application ( It is needed for application of the Basic Resident Register Card with portrait. It should be the front shot , without hat and no-background. It could not be accepted according to the shot situation.)
  ・identification card with portrait issued by government and municipal offices (drivers license, passport and so on)

• Window for application: Civic Affairs Section, Citizen's Affairs Section (Fukuoka government office building. impossible to issue on the same day)
• Valid Period: 10 years (It loses effect if you move out of Takaoka City or in other cases.)

• Date: Jan. 9 (Sat.) 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
• Place: in Joto district
• Contents: march, drill performance by the fire brigade musical band and the Color Guard band, hosing naked by fire brigades, ladder climbing and so on

■New Year demonstration by fire brigades photographs contest

• Theme: photographs of the New Year demonstration by fire brigades (fireboats included) (limited to the works that are not made public. Possible to apply several works per person)
• Size: Color print in quarter for both categories of General and Elementary/ Junior high school students
• How to apply: Put an application form (possible to make it by yourself) filled with the title, your address, name, age and phone number on the back of your photo work, and bring it into the fire station in the city or the member store of prefectural camera trade association, or send by mail to Takaoka City Fire Prevention Management Conference (〒933-0057 in …5-10 Hirokoji, Takaoka City)
• Application time limit: Jan. 29 (Fri.)
• Award: in each category, the most excellent prize for 1 work, the excellent prize for 2 works, the better and fine prize for some works

In this season when the cold becomes severe and the opportunity to use heaters becomes increase, there happen many accidents that kerosene leaks from the home tank. At the house or the office storing kerosene in the home tank, pay attention to the followings.

• Make sure the situation in which the tank is fixed, and make it not fall
• Make sure that the tank and the piping aren't damaged because of snowfall and snow lying from the roof, corrosion, etc.
• Don't use the big machine for snow removal near the tank and the piping.
• Don't leave the spot while dividing kerosene.
• Inform the fire station quickly if you discharged kerosene into the river or the canal.
