Waterworks Bureau is promoting the renewal of old water tubes and the reinforcement of water supply reservoirs systematically, and trying to make facilities earthquake-proof. Let's provide against the event of emergency also at your home with the following suggestions 1, 2 and 3.

1.Let's keep drinking water
We recommend putting 3 liters of water per day per person in a clean plastic tank without remained air, covering the lid and keeping it in the cool shade. Please change water in about 3 days.

2.Let's make use of water remained in the bathtub.
When an earthquake has happened, it would be very difficult to get water not only for drink but also for the flush toilet or the laundry. Make use of water in the bathtub, not draining it immediately.

3.Let's Provide with the containers for emergency water supply.
We recommend preparing some potable containers (plastic containers, pots, kettles, plastic bags…) in order to get tap water from the water wagon when usual water supply was cut off because of earthquake or other disasters.
